Magnesium bath bombs (eucalyptus–orange)

Natural bath bombs with relaxing magnesium and essential oils. They combine magnesium-rich Epsom salt, natural oil, and aromatic essential oils. Perfect for an evening relaxation ritual.

Equipment

  • Bowl – for mixing dry and wet ingredients.
  • Spray bottle with water – for gradually adding water so the mixture doesn’t fizz.
  • Rubber gloves – to protect your hands from contact with citric acid and essential oils.
  • Bath bomb molds (you can also use cookie molds).

Ingredients
  

  • 115 g baking soda
  • 60 g potato starch
  • 60 g citric acid
  • 60 g Epsom salt
  • 1 teaspoon oil or olive oil
  • 20 drops orange essential oil
  • 10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
  • a pinch of turmeric or other natural food colouring

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the dry ingredients and essential oils.
  • Lightly spray the mixture with water, but not too much, so it doesn’t start to fizz.
  • Spray the water gradually using a spray bottle, mixing as you go, until the mixture can be shaped.
  • Shape the bath bombs in the molds and leave them to dry for 12–24 hours.
